Hand glass blowing using a blowpipe and wooden mould and producing circular glass shapes is the most fundamental base of the Czech glass-work. Hand made products are still very popular and they will never be substituted by automatic glass production.
In contrast to Italian glassblowing techniques, wooden mould blowing allows production of many pieces of the same kind in shorter time and makes product assortment possible to be often diversified.
Historically this technique is used due to the typical Czech composition. It enables to make glass wonderful itself but particularly suitable for decorating by cold techniques, which have main importance for this region.
